Friends International, a registered charity with a mission to help international students, is hosting a dumpling-making event tomorrow to celebrate the Chinese Lantern Festival.

The charity has supported over 11,900 students across the UK and Ireland, with 1,290 active volunteers. In Sheffield, there are over thousands of students from diverse backgrounds coming to study every year. The charity hopes to make Sheffield their home away from home.

BUCS Nationals return to Sheffield to showcase student sport

This year marks the 11th anniversary for BUCS National. More than 5,000 students from 100+ universities will compete in various sports, including climbing, karate, swimming, badminton, fencing, and athletics.

EIS Sheffield and Ponds Forge International Sports Centre are among the key locations.

Sports is a massive part of students’ university life. BUCS provides a platform for them to grow and build community. The events are free for all spectators.
